Thank you, Barbara! I was waiting for my son (the one in the middle) in my car on a cold late afternoon and suddenly became aware of the beautiful light which transformed this unspectacular scene into something interesting. Luckily, I had my camera with me!
I miss that high school pick up. I didn't do it often, but I just loved the energy of the school, and the chance to see my sons in their school environment. You caught all of that as well as the light.
I know exactly what you mean, Barbara. But as we live in the middle of nowhere, I did it every day for years and years and so I am quite glad that Cosmo is now in school in Perigueux, about 50 km away, where he stays over the week and comes home only on Wednesday nights and weekends. That means I can paint without having to check my watch all the time, dreading that I have to interrupt my painting!
