A few weeks ago, on one of these balmy summer evenings here in the Dordogne, I was invited for dinner on the terrace by some dear friends. Not only was the food delicious but I also had the pleasure to sit opposite this beautiful young lady from Holland, who bears the not less beautiful name "Melodie".

This is a beautiful portrait of a lovely young woman. I hope someday I will learn how to capture the essence of the figure through paint.
