I wanted to use the word "cluster" in this title and wasn't quite sure if it was actually appropriate. So I looked it up and found "emergent clusters", which I thought was just perfect! We've got quite a few of these emergent clusters around the house, ever growing and changing still lifes. What a job to clear out all this stuff - so many little things that one has to decide about: do I want this any longer? Do I really NEED this??

I love this autobiographical piece and I can relate to the title. It’s great that you have immortalized this interesting moment in your process of dismantling regardless of what you decide to do with the props.

Hi Marcia,
Yes, that's how I look upon it, too. Thank you very much!

I love the emergent cluster and the painting before it with the coffee and sugar cans. Those will travel with you, as will the lamps no doubt.
I dread sorting at the best of times.
It must be excruciating when you're moving.

You're right, Barbara, all that will travel with us wherever we might go in the end....
It's tiring but its also fun!
