Empty II

Empty II by Liza Hirst

oil on canvas panel - Öl auf Malplatte - huile sur carton entoilé

Another room emptied. From this window one has a lovely view down onto our terrace and into the valley - something I will miss very much!
I tried out a different method of painting today - covering layers upon layers, dabbing them off again etc. - not so sure if I like it, but it was fun...

This one has a special look to it - I like your technique with the colors - something different, yes. I hope you try it with other subjects.

Hi Liza,

I like it. The mood is incredible and the texture adds to the mood.

Super work.

Hi Liza,

That was the first thing that I thought when I looked at this piece, "I love the texture she has created... how does she do this?"

I really like it and agree you should try it again,

Oh dear, I just realized that I never got round to replying to your kind comments!I apologize for that here and would like to thank you all very much for your support.
Unfortunately my mind is not quite with painting, blogging and communicating at the moment - I promise that that will change as soon as we have moved and settled in somewhere.
