The Rampart

The Rampart by Liza Hirst

Another impression of the beautiful walk on the rampart of Goettingen. The first trees were planted here in 1765, of which at least one is still there, while most of them have been replanted since. Even Goethe went for walks here in 1801.

Hi Barbara,
Haha, you're so sweet! Thanks a lot for your kind words. This morning I had the pleasure of walking there with my sister, who has come from the US to take over the care of my mother. I will be going back to London on Friday - at last, after nearly 7 weeks.
