Lights in Bedford Square

Lights in Bedford Square by Liza Hirst

As the days get shorter, lights are switched on earlier - allowing a look into flats and offices with vast rooms and sparkling chandeliers hanging from high ceilings. Such beautiful, warm light!I think, nowadays most of the houses on Bedford Square unfortunately are only offices. But how great must it have been for the people who lived there before the centre of London was taken over by business mainly!
