Crémier III

Crémier III by Liza Hirst

Painting of the day
15 cm x 15 cm / 5,9" x 5,9"
oil on canvas panel - Öl auf Malplatte - huile sur carton entoilé
sold - verkauft - vendu

You might be wondering why I am hooked up on this little jar now, as it is the third painted version of it. Well, as my constant struggle is trying to paint more loosely and to let colours stand side by side without merging them, I have decided to paint one object, namely this silver jug, for several days using a bigger brush every day.
Hope you won’t get bored….

I am not one bit bored.
I believe all good painters paint series because to familiarize themselves with the subject enough so it's not 'in the way' any more.
I love this silver pitcher.
