Liza
This is a very sophisticated painting. It is reminiscent of Henri Matisse’s painting of Madame Matisse. Breaking up the red with that bit of white –brillaint!

outward beauty, easy to paint. capturing ones inner beauty on canvas, another story.

Thanks to all of you for your kind and critical comments. I guess beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Why do critical comments so often come from "anonymous"?
Otherwise I wouldn't mind discussing my paintings...

Really great, just everything about this, from color to composition and mood you got it all...

Your portraits are simply beautiful, please don't stop, such a joy to see each one. Just about everyone can paint a landscape but only a few can do a convincing portrait.

this is terrific. I like the red showing thru the white.

Wow! What a great start of the day - so many kind comments from such good artists themselves!
Thanks a lot - I am very happy and motivated to go on.

I love your portraits but the way that you added the red is
especially dynamic.
