This is a very sophisticated painting. It is reminiscent of Henri Matisse’s painting of Madame Matisse. Breaking up the red with that bit of white –brillaint!

Thanks to all of you for your kind and critical comments. I guess beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Why do critical comments so often come from "anonymous"?
Otherwise I wouldn't mind discussing my paintings...

Your portraits are simply beautiful, please don't stop, such a joy to see each one. Just about everyone can paint a landscape but only a few can do a convincing portrait.
