Wow Liza,

What a beauty! I love the orange on the trees that comes into the shadow on
the house, and the red on the door, roof and gate. Are these lovely little houses near you? Do you have palm trees?

I just think these are lovely beyond
compare.

Oh Barbara, you are wonderful -
thank you so much! I am enjoying painting these little houses, with all their vivid colours and individual charme. And, yes, they are in our little town Riberac, just a few miles from where we live. But they can be found in nearly any town around here and I am planning to do more of them. To me they are so typical french but a friend pointed out the other day that she liked the fact they were fairly universal, could be found nearly anywhere...
There are a few palm trees around but the weather has changed over the last 15 years and it is not as warm anymore as it used to be - quite a few have died away. So much to global warming...
