Chateau La Richardie

As I am busy with working on commissions, there's no new house today but I found this drawing from about 8 years ago and thought you might like to see it. It shows a chateau not too far from us, in which an American sculptor, a friend of ours, inhabits the attic. Very romantic!

Hi Liza,

That would be some attic! A phenomenally good drawing.

Yes, it is! Nevertheless he is now thinking of moving, after about ten years, because it has become so expensive to heat the place!
Thanks for the compliment!

My mother, uncle and grandparents lived in this Chateau when my mother was a child. My Grandfather owned it. His name was Louis Gouguet. Such a beautiful place!

How interesting! Thank you very much for telling me. May I ask how you found my drawing? The current owners, a German couple, commissioned me to do the drawing a long time ago.
