Crocuses

What a delight to see some bright colour in the garden again! These crocuses have popped up within only a few days telling us, that spring is not too far any more.
Yesterday I also saw a flock of wild geese, flying north over our property in the typical arrow formation and making a lot of noise. Everybody here is happy to see them - the sign of spring - and tell eachother about it as if it was the most important news!

Hi Liza,

These flowers are as exciting as the
coming of spring. Gorgeous painting. Spring is big news -- we will have to wait at least a month, probably two before we see these signs. It's snowing right now.

Well, on the whole it is still quite cold here, too, but every now and then we have a sunny day and when the sun shines it is already quite warm! The problem here is that the houses are not well insulated and it is difficult to heat them, so even if its not that cold outside compared to your temperatures we have to try to keep warm by wearing three pullovers, wollen socks, longjohns, scarfs and so on. Very elegant! I always hope nobody pops by without notice!

Hi liza,
I am jealous , you have flowers already , we still have snow!
I remember the cold in France very well ,it's a damp cold , when I used to get to my mother's house it took two days to get my bed warm .
beautiful crocuses!

Hi Nita,

Nice to hear from you again! Yes, you remember rightly - the houses are terribly damp! We even have an electric blanket in our bed so that we can heat it before we get in. Otherwise you never get warm!
I wish you flowers soon!
