Hi Liza,

I love the drama in this one -- the brooding sky -- almost deserved because this small house has such a
pompous entrance with the double staircase. Lovely!

Liza, where are you finding all these crazy little buildings? They are fabulous!

Hi Lisa,
I love your work, particularly the bright treatment you give your bricks. It gives the houses a certain playfulness.
Would you mind if I add your link to my blog?

Hi Barbara,
Yes, that's what I also like about it - the drama! The weather was amazing - very stormy and windy with clouds racing across the sky. I had to wait for the sun to shine for a few moments inbetween very dark phases. But then, when the scene suddenly lit up, it was fantastic! So bright! I loved it.

Hi SeeJaneBrowse,

Thank you very much for your kind comment. Believe it or not, these buildings are all in our area. Most of the ones I've painted so far are in Ribérac, a small french town near to our village. The last two are in Mussidan (about 15 miles away), actually a town that isn't really very beautiful, but offers a few gems nevertheless.

Dear Gwen,

Thank you very much!
The more houses I paint and thus look at very conciously, the more I am amazed at all the little playful details that people used to integrate into these buildings. Every one has its own personality!
And - I would be pleased if you add my link to your blog and will add yours to mine, ok?
