Hi Barbara, no, I haven't painted her before. This is one of four portraits I was commissioned to do of people I have never met. A friend yesterday suggested I should paint the teeth more in detail or at least integrate a shadow - what do you think? I didn't really like the idea for this one because the painting is so small but maybe I haven't got enough distance to judge. Does it disturb you ( or anybody else reading this) the way it is?

Hi Liza,
I think it's risky getting into detail
with the teeth -- especially in a small portrait. I'd go with your
instinct. I love the portrait right now.
