Thoughtful

Seems like I'm in a somewhat kitshy phase at the moment... no idea why.
After having painted a series of single women I felt like putting them in a context with another person but I am not sure I like the outcome. Hope you don't think I'm loosing it - if so don't hesitate to tell me!

Far from it! This is such a sensitively handled painting. Your work is inspiring because you are so daring in your brushwork and colours! r.

Your new snuggled couple painting is brilliant! Your Artistic Self is just warming up (just like the snuggled couple.) Ideas are flourishing, let them flow.

Wow Liza, the color and feelings in these last two of yours is just esquiset! Please do more!

Thank you all very much for your kind and supportive comments! Sometimes it needs the more distant look of others to see clear again - thanks for that!
Glen, you hit the nail on the head! I do actually feel like I am constantly searching (artisticly), thus trying out all sorts of different subjects and even styles. Yet, I can't imagine myself finally staying on one road - I think I will always be diverging as there are so many different things I feel like painting.

There's nothing wrong with trying things out, it's all part and parcel of becoming a stronger artist. Lovely bold painting Liza. petergander.blogspot.com

Hi Liza,

How did I miss this? It's absolutely beautiful. Losing it? This does not seem kitschy at all. It's lovely.

Barbara, I nearly suspected you didn't like this one - so unusual not to have a comment from you!
I'm glad you do and thank you very much. Good luck with your exhibition!

Hey Liza,
I don't know how I've missed these paintings either, and I don't think this is the least bit kitschy. I really love the diagonal composition, and your use of light really captures a tangible mood. I think your series of women is a fantastic direction!

Thank you, Karen, for having looked in and for leaving a comment! I am pleased you like the painting. Although meanwhile I am painting other subjects again, I definitely want to do more of the women in the future.
