Liza, I discovered your blog this morning. It is so beautiful. I have enjoyed looking back at your older work and seeing how you have developed over time. I am in complete awe over your talent - how much you can capture, the feel, the expression, movement.
Gorgeous painting here Liza. Wonderful job of capturing the light on the petals and a real feeling of ambiance. Like Barbara - I'm really enjoying this flower series you are doing - lovely!
A big thank you to you, Barbara! There are flowers everywhere in my garden at the moment - I can hardly decide which to paint first - yet some of them are beautiful in real but don't make me want to paint them. I think it is similar to seeing a sunset in real and painting it - most sunset paintings are down right awful! There are of course the exceptions to the rule....
Hi Maia, Thank you very much for your kind words. I am pleased you enjoy my work and will take a longer look at your own blog. By the way, one of my dearest friends lives in Melbourne and teaches photography at Monash University.
Thank you, Aliaena. I hope to do a few more but my wedding painting is keeping me very busy - it has to be finished as quickly as possible because they want to use it for their thank you card.
Oops, sorry Jessie! Just realized that I missed to reply to your kind comment. I love the way you described the painting! I didn't see that aspect before - thank you!

I love the way your flowers feel like they're really reaching for the sky. Beautiful.
