What a moving portrait. It looks like this man (familiar I think) would like to fly, or perhaps he's longing for someone to arrive.
I've just spent a full day waiting at the airport for my son, then back again to retrieve his baggage, then waiting for a storm to pass so we could go home, so this piece seems so poignant to me.
Yes, he did indeed turn out looking a bit too longing, but I am sure he wouldn't have minded to fly away himself. He was actually waiting for his son, too! One tends to spend hours at an airport ! - although one always thinks it's the fastest way to travel I am beginning to doubt that!
Hi Pat, I am pleased you like my painting so much. In regard to the student exchange I just heard yesterday that finally my sister in Michigan has volunteered to have the boy stay with her although her situation is by far not really ideal. Thank you so much for your efforts!!!

This is one of the best ever!. The emotion that you have captured is superb!
I am still asking about the exchange student situation. Is there still a need?
Thank you, Vincente! Pleased you like it.
Thanks to you, too, Ray. That's what I was aiming at - to capture the atmosphere at the airport.
