I love this one Liza. The sensitive way in which you have handled the paint reminds me of one of my altogether favourite paintings of yours - Francesca, despite this being a landscape and the latter a portrait.

Hi Liza,

I love this. I am far behind in commenting, but I'll catch up.

Super work.

I can't stop looking at this, it's mesmerizing. What else can I say, it's beautiful beyond words.

Hi Sheila, thank you so much! Like you, I am still "searching" - trying out different approaches and especially trying to paint more fluid and looser. That is an ongoing battle of mine and unfortunately I keep slipping back to the precise realistic representation which I guess is my "comfort zone". I am determined to go on in this direction for as long as I can and your approval supports me very much! Thank you!

Barbara, my dear! So pleased to hear from you again! Was getting a bit worried actually....
I am very pleased you like this one - it defintely picked me up yesterday after a lot of frustration. Maybe I had to get to that point - considering to destroy most of my work or give it up completely - in order to overcome that tightness in painting that I detest more and more! Thanks for taking some of your precious time to leave a comment again.

Hi Mineke, how nice to hear from you again, too! It's been quite a while since we've been in touch and I am thrilled that this painting has connected us again, as I am quite pleased with it myself. Your compliment is so uplifting! Thank you very much!
