The Lavender Bush, charming b&b in France
oil on canvas panel - Öl auf Malplatte - huile sur carton entoilé
15 cm x 15 cm / 5,9" x 5,9"
sold - verkauft - vendu>
The last three days we had some guests staying here in our guest room and while I was clearing out after they had left, I once again became aware of the lovely scent this lavender bush gives off when you pass it - although the blossoms were cut off about a month ago! The leaves alone smell so good! That, and of course, as always, the sun inspired me to paint this charming corner.

René, so sorry for the late reply to this lovely comment of your's!
I am very pleased you are enjoying this series of my house. Actually that idea of renting it to artists sounds good - with a big discount for you and other fellow artists!
Thank you for your encouraging words!
Thank you, Renae! I am pleased I could send you a little impression from this part of the world through my painting.
Hi Liza,
I would so like to stay there. I know I'll see this in person one day, and every step will feel like a painting. Gorgeous work.

Hi Barbara,
The bed will be made for you! But you'll have to hurry up a little because we might not be here that much longer.
