I thought I wouldn't have a daily for you today, after having spent the whole day on finishing a commission. I called it a day and sat down in our living room, quite exhausted, when suddenly this view made me forget about all that and sparked new energy in me. Isn't creativity just fantastic?! I am so pleased I didn't give in to the couch potato feeling!

This one really holds the eye. A beautifully balanced composition. Lovely illumination on the floor receding in to darkness at the far end of the corridor leading into what I’m guessing is the kitchen. With just enough exterior light coming in from the far window. There is also a nice, rhythmic progression of reds and shapes of bottles. Then there are the steps in the middle ground leading to a second level. Great stuff!

For me it seems the promise that waits at the end of melancholy, if that makes any sense.
Oh and I meant to say before how you remind me of Vanessa Redgrave in your profile photo.
You take care

Vielen dank, Walter! Bist Du der Walter aus Göttingen?

Anne, it is always a pleasure to visit your blog and I only wish I had more time to do visit more often! That's the only frustrating thing about the blogger world - there are so many good blogs to see, that I would need 48 hours a day to be able to do so.

Hi Karena,
I am so sorry for the late reply!
I don't know why this slipped through without me noticing.
Anyway, I thank you very much for your kind comment and am pleased that you like my work.
