My Things, Antique Sherry Glass

My Things, Antique Sherry Glass by Liza Hirst

oil on canvas panel - Öl auf Malplatte - huile sur carton entoilé
15 cm x 15 cm / 5,9" x 5,9"
sold - verkauft - vendu

As you might have noticed, I am painting quite realistic at the moment, which on the whole isn't really my favorite style, but nevertheless I am thoroughly enjoying it.
So, be prepared for more realistic still lifes!
I got this glass at the local fleemarket together with a few others, which I might also paint one day.

Hi Liza,

This is beautiful. I love this type of glass. Did your parents drink sherry too? My father loved it.

Great colour, and you can go realist or abstract or any way you want. Diebenkorn and I approve 100%.

Hi Barbara, I also like this type of glass and - yes, it actually does remind me of my wonderful father, who loved his glass of sherry! How did you know?
I am so pleased that you and Diebenkorn agree - both very important to me! Thank you!!
