Early to Bordeaux

Early to Bordeaux by Liza Hirst

Quite a different scene here, but that's life! One day you're occupied with laundry in a small rural backyard somewhere and the next day you're on your way to the airport in a big city. I love it all!

I get a real sense of being on the move in this great small work. The sky colours are perfectly depicted.

Hi Liza,

I like the feeling of suspense in your words and the painting. It looks like an early morning flight, and it's always exciting in the taxi heading out to the airport.

Hi Barbara,
Yes, it was an early flight and as we are about 1 1/2 hours from the airport, we had to leave at 3 o'clock in the night - terrible. But at least the scenery was nice!
