We used the tube only two or three times during our stay and much more preferred the busses, when we weren't walking. If we were lucky to get the seats on the upper floor in the front of the bus, we thoroughly enjoyed the panoramic view we had on the ride.
Mind you, during rush hour you are better advised to go on foot because that is then much quicker!

I am pleased you like it, Barbara.
It's interesting to notice how different the atmosphere is in the individual underground stations of the cities of the world (not that I have seem that many, mind you). The smell differs, the sound of the arriving and parting trains does, the light is different and, last but not least, the people of course!
