A few days after my painting "Snow in Verteillac", this is what the same scene now looks like, as seen from my first floor window. The sun is here again!!

This is lovely. Particularly like the shadows on the road and the way the eye is drawn to the snow-covered hills in the distance.

Hi Liza,

When I visited my brother in France
years ago he was living in a village that looked exactly like this sans snow. (We were there in October).
Your painting brings back such vivid
memories.

Hi Barbara, This really is a "typical" French village! But luckily it is not as dead as so many others in the countryside. It is actually very lively, although you don't get that impression from this picture. But read the article on page 4-5
