Faded Elegance

Faded Elegance by Liza Hirst

The faded elegance of an old patrician house in Barcelona. Walking up these stairs, I felt as if time had turned back a hundred years. The patina everywhere in the city is a feast for the painter's eye.

Love it, does make me think about the Traboules in Lyon. How I wish to go back there some day.

Wonderful job of capturing a mood! This stairwell oozes character! Your use of balance between the dark side and light side is so dynamic!
