The occasional reflections of the waves, when the water in front of them is fairly still, is what I like best. Here it was perfect.

Liza, I have so enjoyed your "wave" series. Each is so well painted and evoke a feeling of the sea. Looking forward to seeing more.

Hi Liza, been away for a while so it is great to catch up with what everyone has been doing. These sea pictures are fantastic. Wouldn't they look marvellous framed and all hung together. I would be inclined to not sell them individually! Hope you are settled into your new place now and had a good break in Barcelona.

Thank you, Kelley! There are more to come...

Thank you, too, Shelley. I am pleased you like them.

Hi Sheila,
how nice to hear from you! I hope you are doing well. I had the same thought about the series and coincidentally received an email this morning from someone who is interested in buying several of them, but can't decide whether to choose now or wait for future waves to come.
She was asking, how many of them I will be painting. Well, what can I say? It goes as long as it feels right, doesn't it...?
At the moment we are in the South of Spain until about March, escaping the cold and damp in the Dordogne. Luxury after years of freezing!

Liza these waves are cool! You are inspiring me to do something i have resisted doing.
Beleive it or not I live right on the beach but I never paint just waves.I usually only include them in the background. But after seeing how you are making great paintings of 'just waves' I feel like setting up my easel out front and giving it a try.
Thanks for keeping at it with new postings almost daily
Brian

I may have to get the address of the place you are staying at. Not that I want to borrow the waves idea - amazing series, keep them coming!- but because i am in desperate need of some sunshine as well. We are planning to explore Spain this summer.

Thank you for your uplifting comment, Brian! I am thrilled that my paintings are an inspiration to you.
I haven't been by the sea for ages and often dreamt of painting waves. So maybe, as so often, it's the distance to something that makes you long for it. Looking forward to seeing your wave paintings sometime!

There's an understated strength in your composition and minimal palette, Liza. I like the yin yang of it. Mesmerizing.
