Villebois-Lavalette

Villebois-Lavalette by Liza Hirst

This is a view of a delightful small town in the Charente, just about 20 minutes from where I live at the moment. Apart from the impressive castle, there is a medieval market hall in the center where you can sit in the cool shade and enjoy a good glass of French wine.

Hi Liza,

Well at least I am in Montreal, so
I can hear French. But what a lovely painting, and I wish I was there!

Thank you, Carolyn. I often tend to "over-mix" colours and conciously tried to avoid that here, which luckily did result in fresh, bright colours.

Have fun in Montreal, Barbara! Wouldn't mind being there myself, especially because my son is there this weekend, too.

Oh My Liza,

Which son is here? Wouldn't that be fun.
