Aren't they beautiful?! These are typical German houses that you find all over the country. Lots of them dating back as far as the Middle Ages, often crooked and skew-whiff, with a lot of charme.

Gorgeous!!! Beautiful history and charm all wrapped in a small gem by your painting it. We do not see sights like this in the states. Too much ridding of old and thinking new is better. How unfortunate for us.

Well, there's a lot of ridding old here, too, but historic town centers like that of Göttingen are under preservation order. Thank you for your kind comment.

Hi Ruth,
I realized that it is mainly those spots in town that have some green that attract my attention. Creeping plants on the facade are quite popular here.
