Lunch at St.Pancras Station

Lunch at St.Pancras Station by Liza Hirst

We happened to pass by St.Pancras station the other day and were very impressed with how it has been renovated, firstly for the Olympic Games. This is where the Eurostar arrives - the train from Paris to London that goes through the tunnel under the channel. I found it very cool that one could sit right next to one of the trains while dining - an amazing idea.

This is one of my all time favorites! It's very contemporary..almost abstract.
Love it.

Pam, that wasn't easy and while painting I sometimes wondered if it was a good idea to choose the subject, but I am quite pleased with the result.

Thanks, Nancy - that's what I liked about it myself, particularly as I love stripes.
