I have always loved chinese red and to see it popping up amidst the grey everywhere in Beijing was a feast for the eyes!

Hi Marcia, I am pleased you are enjoying this series. As it was wintertime, Beijing had quite a "grey" appearance and the reds popping up here and there were so uplifting. My eyes were always drawn to them. Thank you!

I can well imagine you liking Chinese red, Barbara, as you always use such bright and vibrant colours in your paintings, which makes them sing!
Painting these "memories" makes me also feel a bit as if I was still there. Thank you, my dear!
