It's been ages, as you might have noticed and I am very, very happy to be back.
Back here, back to painting, back to me (maybe, hopefully...)
I haven't been ill or anything like that, just occupied with other things. Sometimes I need a break from painting.
To get started again, I chose a photo that a friend of mine sent me recently. He lives in Paris and enjoyes this view from his balcony to La Defense. Lucky him.

Welcome back Liza. Your painting is wonderful. You are right on both accounts...yes, lucky him! And yes, you do have to take breaks at times.

Oh, my dear friends, this is so nice of you! Indeed, I am thrilled to realize that you are still here and welcome me back so friendly. It truly warmed my heart. Thanks to all of you. I feel blessed to be part of this artists-blogger community of ours!
Ah! So glad to see you at the painting again Liza. This one is so wonderfully evocative of Paris mainly because of those 18th and 19th century buildings towards the lower part of the painting. The bright lights are stunning with the blue grey of the rest.
Welcome back! Glad to hear you were MIA for all the right reasons! We all need to take a break once in while! That is a wonderfully expressive little painting! You are an inspiration!
Welcome back!!
It shows you know, I like each and every stroke of this painting. Are you painting at night now then?
Thank you very much, Sheila, Nancy and René for your kind comments. So nice to be in touch with you all again.
René, this painting is based on a photo ( I mentioned it in the text....).
Yes I saw it just before I clicked on 'publish' Anyway I am glad you'r back. Are you planing to go pleinair as well?
Planning to meet up with Olha Pryymak and another friend these coming days to do some plein air painting together. I am looking forward to that and hope I won't be too rusty.
Yay! So glad you're back and I love this piece! xx
