La Gravette

La Gravette, a beautiful old French house, carefully renovated as a holiday home. It was here that a wonderful French-Bavarian wedding took place last year - regular readers might remember my paintings from that event.

The light situation here was what inspired me to paint it and although it was very difficult and I haven't really achieved what I had in mind, it was an enjoyable challenge.

A scene in a beautiful French house we were invited to lately. Thanks to the thick walls that old French houses usual have, it was pleasantly fresh inside, while the heat outside was nearly unbearable.
