I like the geometric abstract quality of this one. I'm not too sure what I'm looking at. Is it a grid over a pool? My parents always put a plastic cover over their outdoor pool in the winter.
Hi Barbara, It was that geometric, abstract quality that interested me, but unfortunately I didn't manage to make an abstract painting from it - I am not at my best at the moment ...(and not fishing for compliments!) What you are seeing is actually our slab stone terrace covered with snow which is gradually melting. The pool is the bit you see on the left, with the steps inside and the flowerpots on either side of a stone step on the outside. Sounds confusing, I know... Thank you for your comment!
Fishing for compliments? I think it's a great painting. Skip Lawrence says,"it's not what you see, it's what you make." What you've made is wonderful. Snow turns everything into an abstract sculpture, which is one of the good things about the stuff.
Quit knocking yourself. You are one of the best painters I know.
Hi Barbara, you never fail to cheer me up! Thank you so much for your kind and supportive words. I appreciate them very much. You know that we are our own hardest critics...!
