Mrs. Gallery Owner

Those who follow my daily paintings will recognize this picture. I decided to paint a second version of it because it is actually the gallery owner's wife and I find that the two paintings work very well together as a diptych. Have a look below - what do you think?

The Gallery Owner

A big "Thank You" to Anne Harwell for featuring my work today on her blog "ANNECHOVIE" She is a very original artist herself and a lovely woman, whom I would love to meet in person sometime. Go and have a look at her wonderful work!

This man, Alexander Yakut, opened the first private gallery in Moscow in 1989.
He is an artist and architect himself. I painted him because I like his strong and expressive features highlighted by the soft greens behind him.
