Oregon Coast on Misty Day, painting
oil on canvas - Öl auf Leinwand - huile sur toile
35 cm x 70 cm / 13,8" x 27,5"
sold - verkauft - vendu
This third and last painting of the series that I painted for my Dutch clients was my favourite! I loved working on all the different hues the water reflected and on trying to achieve that special light filtered through the clouds. Although perhaps the less spectacular place of the three, this is where I would most like to have been myself - I LOVE the sea and miss it quite a lot. I hope I will have the opportunity one day to live on a coast again!

Bellyglowing!!
I hope you know what I mean, but I guess the feeling says it all.
Liza moves on, why not Liza moves over and deliver the paintings, we could join up and paint the North-sea together :-D
Hi Liza,
This is so beautiful. I hope you get to live by the sea too. How about Nova Scotia? Maybe Kingston -- Lake Ontario is almost a sea.

Thank you so much, René! Your approval always means a lot to me.
And, yes, wouldn't that be great, to meet up and paint the sea together!? I wish, I could, but....
Hi Barbara,
Thank you. I think Nova Scotia would probably be wonderful but we've had enough of remote areas for the time being - it would have to be somewhere more bubbling.
I wouldn't mind trying out Kingston or Toronto but my husband hates cold weather so unfortunately the Canadian winter would be an obstacle.
Wow this one is awsome liz!! Nice colors and fascinating picture!
getting better every day ;)
bisoux,
your sons
Thank you Liza for stopping by my Blog.
regards.
Alex
this is really beautiful Liza. You did a good job of getting the reflections /mist on the water. Yes the sea is so great. I used to live right next to the sea in Australia, i miss it very much.
Your welcome, Alex!
Thank you, painterchum! I am pleased you like it and perhaps brings back nice memories.
