Late Afternoon in Autumn

Late Afternoon in Autumn by Liza Hirst

oil on canvas panel - Öl auf Malplatte - huile sur carton entoilé
15 cm x 15 cm / 5,9" x 5,9"
sold - verkauft - vendu

It is getting dark earlier everyday now and we have to turn on our lamps in the afternoon already. I like this time of year (actually I like all times of the year), when we retreat into our cosy nest, light a fire in the fireplace and enjoy the blues outside and the warm yellows and oranges inside.

Hi Liza,

I love that lamp, and the bookcase. I feel like I know this little corner, even though of course I don't.

Beautiful painting.

I love this one with its soft colors and cluttered coziness. Just beautiful!

You've got some great art-books, that's fore sure!! and an even nicer place to read them. Well done!

Btw. is the tour about your rental going to proceed indoors now?!

Hi Barbara,
You're right - you do know this corner from other paintings of mine.
Thanks to you!

Thank you, Kate!
Our house definitely is cluttered, which sometimes drives me mad!
But it can be very cosy, too, you're right. Pleased you like it.

Hi Renè,

We do have loads of books and some nice art books among them, but unfortunately never enough time to read and look at them more often!
And, yes, I think I will do a few more interiors as it is cold and grey outside and I am enjoying the coziness inside at the moment.
Apart from that I haven't done many interiors over the last years and would like to practice that a bit.
